Black metal fans have been fond of this Norwegian act since their formation in 1993. At the time the band was a fourpiece, quietly perfecting their craft behind closed doors. But by the time their debut album was released in 1996 (Moon in the Scorpio), the band had transformed to a duo (vocalist Daemon and programmer/keyboardist Morfeus). The sixth album now finds Daemon as the steadfast member, with Morfeus exiting in late 2009. This change now allows Daemon opportunity to bring forth more guitar and a more traditional black metal sound than on previous efforts thus adding an invigorating power to the twelve new songs featured on Phantasmagoria.
